A Blue Pietersite & Aquamarine pendant crafted here at Copeland Jewelers. A great design for when you want to wear something a little bigger.
We’ve fallen in love with these high quality pietersites shimmering with mesmerizing chatoyancy. This flashing, shimmering affect is the same as the shimmering fibers of Tiger’s Eye gems but more broken. As the Gemological Institute of America says, “pietersite offers a chaotic chatoyancy, with a brecciated texture that has been likened to bold paint strokes that flow in many directions”. Most come in blue or brown variations.
This example of blue pietersite is very fine with beautiful flashes and mesmerizing shimmer. (Unfortunately, this shimmering quality cannot be picked up in a still photo). This large stone weighs almost 58-1/2 carats (58.4 ct.).
Wonderfully handcrafted in 14K white gold with a small dark blue sapphire at the top. Lastly, three small 14K gold bezel set aquamarines make the whole piece sing in harmony.
